Now Is The Time for Caribbean Amateur Radio ...

Sometime between June 1 and November 30 each year, some of us are forced into frantic emergency activity by the threat of an approaching hurricane, and we respect your individual right to that 11th hour emergency excitement. Through Amateur Radio Carib, we seek to electronically bring together Hams with an elevated positive mental attitude and a positive regional Amateur Ham Radio outlook .... into a more confident, sustainable and harmonious Ham Radio fraternity.

Like all serious Amateur Radio Operators, active Caribbean Ham Operators continually seek to promote cooperation, growth, unity and development in every facet of Amateur [Ham] Radio, within and between all Caribbean countries and the rest of the World, but more so with a focus on our OECS and CARICOM territories.

Amateur [Ham] Radio Operators of Caribbean lineage, irrespective of present domicile, seem to be always ready, willing and able to cooperate and share views, comments and ideas, across the 'sub-region' for our mutual Amateur and Ham Radio benefit. This is time for us not to discard or throw-away the 'old', but to include, embrace, revive and revise while developing the 'new' Amateur Radio Operators, Stations, Clubs, Associations, Societies, techniques, strategies and culture, now very requisite, within every developing Caribbean country.

Through popular Ham Radio software and the Internet most Amateur Radio organization on the planet are now rejuvenating, becoming alive and active again. In the very near future of tomorrow, the inherent low attendance at traditional Amateur Radio Club, Association and Society meetings will be history. Quite soon all of us shall be forced to embrace and utilize our computer, Internet and communications programs and facilities, like messenger, net meetings, chat rooms, etc. [which are already on our PC/desktop] from the comfort of our Club house, Society HQ, Ham shack, den, study, studio, office or truck.

Hams following our regional Telecommunication Reform process will recognize the significant role played by The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis. No small wonder that the continuous call for Caribbean Amateur Radio cooperation and unity is echoed daily by members within the St. Kitts and Nevis Amateur Radiocommunity. It is our hope that in some small way, we can help Amateur and Ham Radio in the Caribbean to comprehend, achieve, grasp and sustain, in short time, the seemingly elusive concept of Caribbean Amateur Radio Unity.

Caribbean Amateur Radio Operators, Stations, Clubs, Associations and Societies - OUR TIME IS NOW! - TODAY! - - - Not Tomorrow!
